The Farmers for the Future Award (F4F) is an award for agribusinesses designed to support young people with viable Agri-Business with capital-free capital and other accompanying support they need to grow their businesses.
The project is an initiative developed and sponsored by the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) in partnership with NYSC and implemented by SAEDConnect.
The objectives of the award include:
Make agribusiness attractive;
Reduce youth unemployment;
Manage youth involvement in agriculture;
Guide and empower youth in agricultural practices.

Open to Nigerians only;
Applicant must currently be a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Up to N16 million Naira cash and business support:
1st cash prize: N3 million Naira
2nd cash prize: N2 million Naira
3rd cash prize: N1 million Naira
In addition to:
Contact financial institutions and investors for follow-up financing and / or credit facilities.
Winners receive technical support to determine their agribusiness.
Participation in an intensive start-up camp “Think-through-your-business”.
Mentoring under-experienced entrepreneurs and Agric Experts.
Membership of the F4F alumni network.
Participation in other training programs for partners.
Business registration support and other legal and regulatory requirements
How to Apply for the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) Farmers for the Future Award
Submit your application: The online application portal will be able to submit your applications
Virtual Bootcamp: 20 selected businesses go through a rigorous virtual bootcamp where they will refine their thesis and build a compelling pitch.
Pitch Event & Award: The bootcamp’s top 10 businesses will perform in front of a panel of expert judges and investors. 3 winners will be selected.
Mentorship: The three winners receive funding to run, strengthen, promote and scale their businesses under the guidance of experienced mentors. They will also be connected to the relevant networks they need to make progress.
