The WriteVoice 2009 Open Story Competition
Jul 15th, 2009 | By Kevin | Category: CompetitionsThe Open Story competition is to write a short story of not more than 7000 words and is open to anybody over the age of 16. You can use a theme of your own choice
The entry fee is £5.00 for each story submitted and the closing date for entry is 31st October 2009.
Here’s a few suggestions from the organizers: Your story has a much better chance of winning if it grabs the reader at the beginning, keeps them interested through the middle and gives them a satisfactory ending – Seems obvious? You’d be surprised how often these basic principles get overlooked! Grammar and spelling – check this carefully. Remember to work on a convincing plot and then let your imagination run wild. Good luck!
