Short Film Screenwriting Competition

Blue Lizard Productions short film screenwriting contest. The main goal of the competition is to uncover the best unproduced short film screenplay and to work with the gifted writer(s) who wrote it, packaging it with a great director, talented actors and experienced film crew to be produced next year and then screened at film festivals around the world.

Up until July 15th, 2009 there is no fee to submit your script. After July 15th, we will be implementing a $10 submission fee as the response to this contest has been really great, but overwhelming for our script readers, and as we want to make sure every single screenplay is read we will be compensating our script readers for their time. You can easily make your submission payment on this website using PayPal.

Short films must be less then 15 pages
