Youth Writing Contest
The International Food Policy Research Institute is hosting a youth writing contest.
Here is what you have to do. Use your writing skills to write an essay, short story, poem, open letter to a national leader, short play, or other text on “How we can make poverty and hunger problems of the past in all nations across the globe”.
This is a great vessel for any young writer out there to say what they think about the cronic food shortage in certain areas of the world today. Last year almost 600 people from 39 different countries entered the contest.
While the prize mightn’t be that great at $500 the contest is free to enter.
Deadline for submissions (typed and in English only): August 1, 2007
